BERCO BV strives to develop and industrialize car mats and truck interiors that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations in every aspect. BERCO BV’s working method is characterized by short lines with the customer. All our activities are organized according to the highest automotive standards.
BERCO BV values great importance to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) where respect for people and the environment are crucial. Our company is set up in such a way that every employee can contribute to our business goals. We ensure that everyone feels comfortable and safe within BERCO BV.
The BERCO BV environmental leadership is partly realized through the continuous involvement of BERCO BV’s senior management and through continuous stimulation of sustainability within and outside the organization. BERCO BV’s environmental policy aims to perform all business activities in which no damage is caused to the environment, the pursuit of continuous improvement and the prevention of environmental impact in accordance with current environmental legislation and regulations, covenants and own objectives concerning sustainability

HUMAN RIGHTS AND LABOR
We consider our employees as a key factor in our commercial success. All people must be treated with respect and dignity. BERCO BV thinks every person is unique and individual qualities must be appreciated and stimulated. BERCO BV does not tolerate (sexual) harassment, discrimination or offensive behavior of any kind.
Forced or compulsory labor is not tolerated. Child labor is not accepted. Wages and fringe benefits are above market conform. Working hours are in accordance with applicable legislation. BERCO BV employees are free to join an association / union with regard to, among other things, collective bargaining.
It is our strong believe that a workplace should be safe and proper. Every employee has the right of an ergonomic, safe and healthy working environment. Personal protective equipment is available for all employees. Machine safety is secured with safety systems that are approved according to the machine guidelines. BERCO BV offers students from VSO, PrO and MBO a good and safe workplace that fits his/her education. Our practitioners guide and coach the students in the production. BERCO BV is an accredited work placement company.

BERCO BV treasures CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and implements this on a wide production level. Part of our employees have a certain distance to the labor market for various reasons.
BERCO BV is organized in such a way, that everyone can contribute and add value to the process. Special tools and assembly processes are designed and created by Berco employees, all work is clearly explained and there are supervisors who ensure that everyone feels comfortable at Berco. BERCO BV is very enthusiastic about this form of CSR. To share our knowledge and explaining enterprising in The Netherlands how they can adapt their working environment in order to make employees with a distance to the labor market feel comfortable, the foundation “Aan ‘t Werk” has been established. Berco regularly organizes meetings and tours, so policy-makers from across the country can come and have a look in our facilities.
Water quality and consumption
Water quality is monitored by local water purification systems. Water consumption is limited at the public taps by automatically stopping the flow of the water.
Responsible chemical management
The responsible management of chemical materials is secured by means of storing chemical materials in a designated storage area.

ENVIRONMENT
BERCO BV aims to minimize the impact of production processes on the environment. Any waste and/or pollution is handled thoroughly and accordingly to law and legislation in order to conserve our planet for future generations. BERCO BV’s goal is to be energy-neutral by 2025 and to be maximum climate-neutral by 2035.
All materials and substances must be registered in IMDS (International Material Data System) in order to be able to trace environmentally relevant information on material and substances towards the supply chain of the automotive industry.
BERCO BV feels a responsibility towards sourcing and trade of conflicting minerals, and towards strong violations of human rights in some parts of the world. BERCO BV shall therefore contribute to Due Diligence along our mineral supply chains.

ETHICS
BERCO BV is committed to conducting business ethically and in accordance with the law. Relationships between BERCO BV and its suppliers shall be trustworthy and transparent.
BERCO BV shall never punish or discriminate against employees who call attention to practices that are contrary to local law or directives (whistleblowers). For this BERCO BV has an (external) confidential advisor that our employees can contact.
Bribery, corruption and extortion
BERCO BV supports national and international efforts to protect competition from the distorting effects of corruption and extortion, and rejects all corrupt practices and forms of behavior which could damage the company. BERCO BV ensures that their employees, subcontractors and other representatives do not grant, offer or accept bribes, facilitation payments, inadmissible donations or other inadmissible payments or undue benefits to or from customers, officials or other business partners.
Gifts, hospitality and invitations
BERCO BV employees will not accept any inappropriate benefits either directly or indirectly in the form of gifts, hospitality, or invitations to unduly influence them. Neither do they ask for, nor accept such benefits.
Money laundering
BERCO BV employees shall only conduct business relationships with business partners of whose integrity they are convinced. They shall ensure that the applicable legal money laundering and terrorism financing provisions are not breached.
Conflicts of interest
Our employees are not allowed to do other work outside of BERCO BV if this is contrary to BERCO BV’s interests. When new products are introduced, it is tested whether there are potential conflicts of interest. We also test these new products against the needs and interests of the customer.
Disclosure of Information
Our employees must not make company information available to outside interested parties. Confidential information regarding our products may be disseminated externally in a memo stating “confidential information”.
Counterfeit parts
We develop our products ourselves and no counterfeit parts are used.
Intellectual property
We have not captured any intellectual property. Our customers can register an intellectual property. These are known to the management team
Export controls
Export controls for deliveries outside the EU are carried out by our business office.
Economic sanctions
We work according to European guidelines and given our nature of work we run negligible risk of economic sanctions.
SUPPLIERS
BERCO BV’s policy is to select suppliers in an impartial manner on the basis of quality, suitability and price of the product or service. Employees should do nothing that could imply selection of a supplier on any basis other than the best interests of the Company. No action should be taken that could give one supplier an improper advantage over others.
Berco and its supply chain distance themselves from slavery, forced labor and human trafficking.
We expect all our suppliers in our supply chain to act accordingly to our Code of Conduct standards and take full financial responsibility for their activities (accurate records).
